The Art of Meditation: Introduction & Vipassana

  • The Library @ The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia 2701 Heyward Street Columbia, SC, 29205 United States (map)

Meditation isn’t really “emptying the mind.” It’s making space to understand the very roots of your reality.
In this first session, we’ll explore the essence of meditation, debunking common misconceptions and discovering what meditation really is. Learn how to establish the foundation of your practice with simple techniques in posture, breathing, and focus. Through a simple mindfulness technique, we’ll begin to deepen our connection to the present moment, offering you the first steps toward mental clarity, emotional balance, and stress reduction. Join us for a peaceful introduction to a life-changing practice.

This is a donation-based class open to all. Come as you are.
