Relax & Refresh

Sundays are for Sound Baths.

Every Sunday at 2:00 at Pathway to Wellness in Irmo.

Find deep relaxation with a sound bath

A sound bath is a profoundly relaxing acoustic experience. You’ll lay on a yoga mat or sit comfortably and be surrounded by a live soundscape played by an experienced musician. This experience is designed to slow your brain waves, inducing relaxation and a meditative state. Gongs, singing bowls and other drone instruments will weave a 75-minute sonic tapestry that ensures rest, insight, and transformation.

Relax on repeat with Sound Bath Packages

The benefits of a regular practice of attending sound baths include stress relief, emotional regulation, and even relief from physical pain. Whether you’re looking to attend monthly or more frequently, we have a package for you.

Sound Mind, Sound Body

A sound bath is more than an experience: it’s an invitation to step into a realm of profound transformation. By harnessing the power of brain entrainment through specific frequencies, Sudha gently guides you into a deep, sustained meditative state, where the boundaries between self and the universe dissolve.

Through a masterful blend of droning tones and subtle auditory surprises, you’ll experience a tapestry of tension and release, guiding you into a continuous flow of sound that keeps you grounded in the present moment.

No two sound baths are ever the same. This is where the essence of meditation unfolds: where alignment and stillness become your natural state.

  • A sound bath is a relaxing, meditative experience where you're immersed in soothing sound waves and vibrations. These sounds help guide you into a deep state of relaxation, reducing stress and promoting healing. It’s like a bath for your mind and body, where the sound helps you unwind and feel more present.

You’ll lie down (or sit) comfortably while listening to a range of calming sounds, such as gongs, crystal bowls, and other instruments. It's a quiet, peaceful environment where you simply need to close your eyes, breathe deeply, and let the sounds guide you.

  • Bring anything that you need to feel comfortable — blankets, pillows, bolsters, eye masks are all welcome. Wear comfortable, loose clothing if you can. The goal is to be as comfortable as possible. We have plenty of yoga mats, so don’t sweat it if you don’t have one.

  • Not at all. First and foremost, you should be comfortable. Feel free to sit if that’s easier for you.

  • By no means does meditation have to be your own personal goal — maybe you want to see what a sound bath is like, or maybe you just want to relax! You’re also welcome to watch, though it might take away some of the “magic!”

That said, you may reach a meditative, still state, even if only for a moment. It is common for meditation to be fleeting at first, and this is to be expected. Sound baths are a great way to practice mental stillness, if that’s what you’re after.

  • We welcome kids aged 12 and up to our group sound baths, but you know your child best. It can be difficult (if not impossible) to lie absolutely still and silent for over an hour, so if you think your children may have trouble with this, check out our interactive family sound baths that are a great option for kids of all ages.

  • We do begin promptly on time and lock doors when we begin.

You are encouraged to enter the space a few minutes early and get comfortable while we are setting up. We cannot offer refunds for cancellations or late arrivals.

  • A sound bath is a helpful tool for stress reduction, sleep, and mindfulness. While you may feel benefits for days after the event, it is not a substitute for professional medical treatment. If you have questions about whether a sound bath is right for you, please consult with your doctor.

Praise for our sound bath experiences…

  • Wonderful auditory experience which led to inner peace and outward relaxation. I was able to locate and isolate very specific muscles.

  • I have a chronic illness and decided to come and relax, and it truly helped clear my mind and calm my body.

  • This was a wonderful experience: moving and uplifting. I'm so grateful that I had a chance to experience it.
